Data Residency & Sovereignty

Stackmint is designed to give customers control over where their data is processed and which providers are used, while remaining flexible enough to support multi-region and multi-cloud use cases.

1. Platform Hosting

The Stackmint platform is hosted on modern cloud infrastructure. Core runtime and control-plane services may be located in the United States or European Union, depending on Stackmint's architecture and customer requirements.

Where region choice is available, Stackmint will work with customers to align hosting with their residency preferences.

2. Model and Provider Choice

Customers can connect Stackmint to multiple model providers and inference platforms. In many cases, these providers offer regional options (for example, EU-hosted inference).

Customers remain responsible for selecting providers and regions that align with their own data residency, sovereignty, and compliance requirements. Stackmint orchestrates workloads based on these configurations.

3. European Data Sovereignty Considerations

Stackmint is not a certified "sovereign cloud" provider and does not claim compliance with specific national sovereignty schemes unless explicitly stated in a customer agreement.

However, Stackmint is compatible with EU-based cloud providers, EU-hosted inference, and self-hosted or on-premise deployments of certain components (such as model endpoints), allowing customers and partners to design architectures that meet stricter sovereignty requirements where needed.
