What is a Capability Cloud?

Noun · platform architecture

Definition

A capability cloud is a platform layer for building, deploying, governing, and monetizing AI-powered business capabilities. In Stackmint, the capability cloud gives partners one place to create workflows, connect systems, expose APIs and MCP tools, manage execution, and package capabilities as recurring services.

Technical Anatomy

  • Capability Studio: the builder environment for Buds, Branches, Dendrites, integrations, and UI surfaces.
  • Deployment Hub: the system for deploying capabilities into client workspaces and external surfaces.
  • Execution Control Plane: the governance layer for approvals, audit logs, budgets, memory, and policy checks.
  • Revenue Command Center: the monetization layer for pricing, billing, usage metering, revenue split, and payouts.

Enterprise Context

The capability cloud gives agencies and SIs the infrastructure to sell and operate AI-powered services across many clients without becoming the model provider, workflow infrastructure vendor, billing system, or governance platform behind the scenes.
